Bewcastle School Community Lunches
On Tuesday 10th December at 12.15 pm we are hosting our annual Christmas Community Lunch. All places must be booked no later than Wednesday 4th December. We will also be holding a raffle on this day, any donations of raffle prizes will be gratefully received. Every half term we have a community lunch in our school hall. Our cook Linda makes a delicious lunch and we invite the community to share it with us. People’s parents, grandparents and friends come to eat the delicious lunch. Sometimes at the community lunch we have a raffle to raise money for the school funds or the swimming pool. A quote from the head teacher “We love welcoming people to our school. It is a chance for a good chat and the children enjoy seeing new people. We also have super displays of our children’s work for our visitors to enjoy”. Ann Armstrong says “Our lunches are supported very well by the local community”. At Christmas, we usually have over 40 visitors for our amazing lunch, with Christmas pudding made by the children and a turkey provided by the PFA.
